I'm looking to replace the rear indicators on the 1200 Sport and it appears I have to remove a section of the rear assembly to get to the retaining nut for the bolt that holds them on :(. I've removed the screws from the inside panel of the rear guard and also the bolts from the tail light assembly but there's a rogue something holding it all in place still that is not obvious to me. If anyone has replaced the indicators or had to change a bulb, I'm hoping they may be able to give some pointers.

I am sure it's something obvious I am overlooking.

Thanks in advance for any assistance!

From, memory (which aint crash hot) I think you have to remove the grab rails and the bits around it to get in there - I might be wrong though.

Thanks Tony, I was guessing I needed to remove more bodywork but hoping I didn't. Why they didn't simply have a secured nut behind for the bolt to screw into I have no idea.

You removed the bolts from the taillight, but did you actually take the taillight out?

There is a single bolt that holds the top of the mud flap to the frame, it is behind the light.

The tail light assembly didn't seem to want to come out with only the 4 bolts removed and I didn't want to force it so assumed another screw holding it in that I could not get to but will give it another go tonight, thanks for the tip!
