Just got my LSL Super bar and installed them and wow!! crazy improvement. The turn is awesome, rider input is very smooth. The bars a liitle shorter width but fall perfect for my arms.
Now your in a more of a 3/4 prone riding position which i was looking for.
I have cracked my tail in accident way long along and the up right riding position kills me.

so tried LSL bars and Iam very happy...it has a feeling of a true drag bar without the twitchiness.
Truly the 1400 handling is a major improvement with the new bars...serious fun! Hard to believe it made such a difference.

Along with the bars a got a new Corbin seat, with firm foam on the outside, softer foam in the middle and with a small cut away for my tailbone....the seat
automatically pitches me forward and matchs me up well with the bars.
You have to drill two holes in the bars for the throttle and turn signal cluster pins. It was mentally more of a problem then doing it...

I got the titanium color which looks great. The left grip removal is nearly impossible to remove so I have mis matched grips for the time being lol.

I like your setup, just a note on the removal of the grips. I has a hellava time removing both factory grips to install heated grips. Then it occurred to me to spray some WD40 under the grip. This worked like a charm, the grip slid right off.

Yes I miss my beemer heated grips, have you done any suspension mods or motor.

I have penskes on the rear and Matris fork kit on the front.

Then I had his ECU flash majic along with auto tune....the bike rocks. If she to cold to ride so a re flash and heat that baby up

I have been debating work on the suspension however, i havent had any issue as of yet with the stock. Maybe i dont ride it hard enough, the gas mileage says otherwise. I am nearing the 10k service, at this point i might look at the reflash, as of yet i use touring mode predominately, i do like veloce mode but i find it too abrupt. I have too agree, i love the engine, coming from a sportsbike, i cant think of a better, more comfortable bike. I do like the BMW line, however i am a frugal guy and the cost seems a little too much.

Hey Joe,
Can you let us know about your running lamps...what have you got fitted and how are they configured.
Thanks

Stephen

Thanks for the post Joe, they look great. I'm not a fan of any of the stock bars either, but my 1400 is for the RentAGuzzi fleet, so I'll leave them be.

Joe's lights are by Clearwater. Top notch high $ units. I offer some very good ones on the Store here; https://www.guzzitech.com/store/product/round-long-range-led/
And of course there are tons of cheap knock-offs on Fleabay and Amazon too.

Mike my stock rear suspension was adequate for me too. Unless I rode two up and felt weight transfer was unreasonable. I have the Penskes right now and love them.mbut they are hight dollar, if Todd had his shocks ,available at the time I would gotten them.
The front end tracks well but is hard hitting on bumps and such. The Matris cartridge kit from GT. Makes the ride enjoyable, tracks nice and smooth.....handling perforamce went up but pleasure riding grin factor wins out.

Stephen yes my light are the freaking bomb but their price will blow partial out of the water as well.
I have the Ericas...https://www.clearwaterlights.com/infopg_erica.html
6000 lumens per light...rea stat controlled, click high beams they go on and if hit your horn they flash at full bright.

At dusk i flashed a car for being a bone head and I saw his whole interior of his car light up....great night riding but better side street awareness lights for pulling out cars....no heat from the lights low power as well

Decided today to take a few hours changing the stock handle bar, rotating up and down, touring model... I tried 4 different positions of the stock bars, and noticed that the bar works best for me rotated up about 3 inches. I did find a more comfortable position with the bar rotation upwards more than 6 inches, however it didnt feel right on the arms or wrists. I might think a change towards the bars Joe has, more forward and near the same height. I know this is very depended on body shape, might be something to look at.
