help needed with electronics

Actually Todd sells Centurion. See the store tab then electronics.
ok guys i got the centurion up and running this evening and i found error po500 speed sensor grounded, while running some checks on other parts, when i tryed to check the stepper the lighting circuit lost power along with the horn and the start button,
your thoughts on this are welcome guys

Sounds like you have a short to ground on the speed sensor wire (or a faulty sensor but it is new so most likely the wires to it.....hopefully). The lighting circuit, horn etc is a blown fuse. Not sure it is related to the speed sensor. You may have shorted something when you were checking the stepper motor.

Did you also try and reset the codes with the Centurion. Perhaps the speed sensor code is still from the old sensor???

yeah i reset the codes and came back with po500 code speed sensor, but i have fitted a new genuine sensor ,i have also checked all the fuses which are ok
i agree with you that there is a short circuit but finding it is the problem as the wires are checking out ok ,so perhaps it is in the ecu

Are you sure your ECU connector are okay? All info in the dash you are missing comes from the ECU. Also check Earth on your electrics since you coated the frame?

having a similar problem?
well in regards to the speedo, all checks were as they should have been, the air gap on the sensor was within tolerance, replaced the sensor with a new one but still would not read the speed,
As i had changed my wheels to the new alloy ones with new disc and new bolts and aldo the air gap was bigger it was still well within it's limits,
i couldn't understand why i wasn't getting a change in signal voltage so i used a small feeler blade and passed it over the sensor and this gave me a change in reading so i changed the wheel to the old one and low and behold my speedo worked fine ,
long story short the new bolts i got from the main dealer varied in size to the old ones and the sensor counldn't pick them up and was reading the brake disc
as for the menu on the clocks i am still try'in to sort this ,and the lights starter problem was traced to a few bad wires in the ingition block
tought it was all sorted till last week on my way home the bike died under acceraration moving on to the motorway,
As of yet i havn't got it fixed yet,
