Stelvio NTX Bar Risers

Just put these on my Stelvio. A little higher and a little farther back can make a big difference on a long day. Standing up a bit easier too. About 1 inch, no problems with existing cables.

Scott, Did you need to make any ajustments to throtle cables / idle ?
Would like to see how they look on your bike. Picture on web sight to close to realy tell .

That is a Cramp Buster. Cheap and useful.
I meant the thing on the inner end of the grip. I have a cramp buster on my Eldorado. Hardly necessary on the light throttle of a modern FI bike IMHO.

Yes that is a throttle lock. Very Clever and inexpensive. Here is a link for it on Amazon ;

My last bike was a Buell Ulysses, and compared to it, the stock bar position on the Stelvio seems a little high and the bars are wider. I don't feel the need to make them higher, but of course it all depends on what you like. As far as a throttle lock goes, I have tried the crampbuster and I think it makes it likely to accelerate unintentionally. I went with a Kaoko throttle lock. Pricey, but the price is soon forgotten and you have an unintrusive, easy to use solution.
 
I have the newest Go Cruise with the adjustable tension. Works like a charm and all for $30. I had a Kaoko and always found it difficult to engage and dis-engage while keeping my hand on the throttle. Not an issue with the Go Cruise. Still have the Kaoko for the Stelvio with handguards if anyone is interested (yes....for a cost). PM me if your interested. Used for about 3 months. They run about 140 US new. Will let it go for $85US plus shipping.

In the photo, you can see the cables moved from the front of the triple clamp to the back of the triple clamp. That's all you have to do...

Did you have to remove the triple clamp in order to install the risers?
Yes, here are the instructions. Fairly simple:
Installation:

1. Make sure the bike is well supported and vertical, with the front end lightly on the ground.

2. Remove handlebars and set off to the side carefully. There should be enough slack, so you don't have to disconnect anything.

3. Loosen the two pinch bolts (right and left) that tighten around the fork legs.

4. Remove the center nut (14mm socket-head) holding down the top triple clamp.

5. Carefully remove top triple clamp by rocking it up the forks one side a little and then the other side a little until plate comes off. You will see your ignition switch is still attached, but there should be enough slack to get at the riser bolts without too much effort or having to disconnect the ignition.

6. Remove riser bolts. Install new spacer below the riser using new bolts and at least one washer (two if needed).

7. Use the handlebars and top bar clamp to align the risers. Line up carefully and tighten down riser bolts.

8. Reinstall top triple clamp with new risers, remembering to tighten center nut AND fork pinch bolts.

9. Reattach handlebars adjusting position to best suit higher handlebars. Adjust controls as needed.
