stelvio cylinder compression

Are you having a problem? Are the cylinders the same, or at lease within 10 PSI of each other? Most Guzzi twins run around 150 to 170 depending on your gauge.

hi john ,yeah she only has 120psi on the right cylinder and zero on the left ,did a dry test and a wet test and still zero
i was thinking she should be somewhere in the 170-180psi range!!

Hopefully you did the the test with the throttle full open, but the cylinder with zero is a real problem. It appears to be tear downtime. Since you did a wet test and still found zero, that points to a valve problem, or a big hole in a piston. Please let us know what you find.

yeah i did have the throttle open ,and thats the two same things i was things it might be,
looks like she will be of the road for the rest of the season .
i will keep you up to date of my findings.

i will take the head of over the next couple of weeks when i get a chance and see what the problem is.
will keep you posted

well just to update you guys ,i pulled the head of yesterday and found that the exhaust valves kissed the piston that explains the zero compression ,now to find out what caused it to happen in the first place as the timing was still ok!!
i'll keep you posted

With both hitting, something has to be off. If only one, then you may have lost a valve keeper, but both hitting sounds like a valve timing issue.

You could try checking how far the piston rises in the cylinder if it comes up short it would indicate wear in either of the rod bearings, under power the play would allow the piston to rise further poss. causing your valve/piston to touch
