G'day all,

Today I whipped out the ECU from my 2010 8V Sport in preparation for one of Todd's top shelf fueling cures.
Now some folks may remember but back at Christmas time in 2013 my ECU fried due to water ingrestion according to the dealer, they actually accused me of over washing it bugga me, and it sat in there shop for 6 weeks before they finally got a replacement ECU from Italy.
So back to the story of the ECU plugs, as the fotos show it's no wonder water got into the ECU and you would think they would have replaced the seals instead of using silicon when they reinstalled the new ECU, that's if they ever did.
I am gunna try and get some new seals through the dealer after I send him the fotos but if I get fed a load of bullshit saying that it was through my rough handling does anyone know where I can get some, I need 2

Due to the placement of the ECU on the B/N/S, I'd say washing it shouldn't cause any water issues... at all. Ever. The Stelvio and Griso on the other hand are different. Unfortunately, no parts are available, but if you find/source the plug gaskets, do be sure to post where!
 
Found this link on a Deadcati site, Deadcaties they run the same ECU, contacted Farnell to see if they can get only the seals, waiting for Farnell to get back me, but if not at only $15.00 AUD for the whole plug that's cheap compared to a new Guzzi ECU for $2500.00.
Also tried Molex Australia but still waiting for a response.

If you could take a pic of any numbers on the plug you should be able to source it on Newark, digikey, mouser, allied, or any other electronics distributer. I would stay away from amazon or dhgate. I work in the auto industry... I might be able to source them with a part number.
 
Well got an email from Molex Australia and the word is that the seals are not sold separately and ya gotta buy the whole plug, gee some poor lil Chinese bugga working in a sweat shop has to put these tings together from a collection of parts, the plugs are not born as a complete item, ya tink you could get the seals. My plugs are 40 X 4 pins and the ones on the Deadcati site are 32 X 4 but I cant see any problem with the seal not fitting mine.

These ones won't, just grades of plastic - MXG PBT GF20 = Polyester with 20% Glass Fibre,
PA66 = Nylon 66

Hey Averb ya never know it might be the $6000000 question you might be asked in a quiz and you'll be the winner LOL good on ya.
Emailed the Australian distributer of Guzzi's yesterday asking if they could find out some more from Guzzi Italy even if they could give me the connector's brand so I could chase it up but sadly no answer :-(. Have used super glue the fix the breaks and when I get my ECU back from Todd will try and find a sealing product that's suitable.
 
These connectors are industry standard, I have a pair on my ecu testbench from Bosch. Seals look silicone. Can be glued with : silicone :)

Well I got a pleasant email from the Ozzie distributer the other day informing me that 2 brand new ECU seals will awaiting me at Thunderbikes ready form me to pick them up ;):)
Just need me ECU back then it's full steam ahead
