can anyone out there help iv had most of the stelvio problems this year the latest one has me stumped long story short out on the bike in heavy rain dash went mad then the speedo failed went home dried out the ecu fitted the guzzi rubber cover from the early stelvio great the ecu is now waterproof but still no speedo and the abs light is on so I fitted a new rear wheel speedo sensor still no speedo and abs light is still on im hoping someone can give me some advice thanks andy from england

Is it like a car when the error code gets stored and a dealer has to do a reset? Some faults clear after a number of turn on/off cycles. Only guessing and someone far mor expert will be along to put me right I'm sure.

Good luck (also from England)

Try disconnecting the battery for a few minutes and then reconnect. May just need a reset to recognize the new speed sensor and then go for a ride to see if that clears it.

Thanks everyone for the feedback I'll reset the ecu I know how to do that and I'll try discontinuing the battery overnight like I said I replaced the rear wheel sensor thinking it's got to be that one not the front wheel one because the abs light is on as well I will get there one of these days

Just curios, why the rear and not the front sensor? what information lead you to replace the rear sensor?

the abs light being on as well still means it can be either sensor, all the symptoms you have can still be either sensor, not sure if these can be tested like a cars, but i have used a multi meter on the 2 wires and spin the wheel, the display should jump around, an older needle type meter is more noticeable.

even if the display jumps it can still be bad, like 1 is reading 2km slower at slow speeds, on some vehicles that can cause the abs to activate at slow drive thru speeds.
