Hi all !

im buying a V7 next months...and i´m already customizing on the screen ;-).
this is my plan:

Depinterestcom
i want to build a shorter soloseat with a metal fender and round light on top.
My question is:

Can someone provide me detail photos of the V7 back frame without seat ?
I´ve seen a metal "U" in several photos. Is this thing screwed or welded to the frame ?
I think i have to get rid of this to make it work :-/.

Would be great to get some input from you guys :) !!!
Regards from germany !

You can get a solo seat OEM and tail eliminator (also called tail tidy sometimes). I think this is bolt-on, no need to cut or weld anything...

Hi Miro, welcome to the GT Forum and congrats in advance on the V7.
This thread will show you what you're asking; https://www.guzzitech.com/forums/threads/interest-in-a-new-v7-fender-elim-bracket.14394/ -- but basically the seat latch is bolted to a part of the frame that is welded on. Anything is possible with enough customization, but you're looking at modifying the frame. Is that OK in Germany?

One of our local dealers attempted to make a scrambler out of a V7. It looks like it may have the tail light you're looking for:

hi guys!
thx for your replys!

Hagaik, yes ive seen the soloseat - my super professional paint mockup ;-) is bases on this seat, but i shortened it to achieve a more compact look.

gtr-x looks good but same as above, the standard seat looks a bit long for me...maybe its just a visual thing / i have to sit on a v7 and make photos to see how it looks (im 1.88m). to cut the seat latch isnt that big problem in germany (if you tell the TüV what youre doing and how. ) the existing mounting holes on the frame tubes would be perfect to mount the new short fender as well. then a new smaller custom seat.. thats what im searching for.

pokeyjoe, also good looking solution, the light is cool!

i will post as soon as this thing is in my garage ;-)

Image This was my solution. I used the front fender to replace the bulky original rear fender, it's even got perfect groves to install Kellerman indicators on. I bought a short front fender from the race model.
To match the fender I also changed the rear tyre to a 120 wide (it was due anyway.
My tail light is a CEV for the original V7 model from the '70s.
Without altering the frame will only allow for a very limited amount of shortening of the seat as I figure it.

Nice ride. Where did you get those mufflers? They look good

My next purchase is a V7 to scrambler-ize but I was thinking of a different seat. A single seat with rack like on the Black Arrow to keep the seat short and have a rear tie-down rack.

Thanks!
Mufflers are from the Legendary Magni in Italy.

Sound is astonishing, even better than the looks . Made on order but only for the V7 classic Had to work a bit on the brackets to mount on the higher mounts of the café model (made new ones to replace the ugly cast aluminum mounts, made a huge difference imoho.)
They are a bit pricey but not worse than a pair of Agostinis.
Takes a long time from order to delivery but it's really worth it.
