Do I have a dealer?

I live in Bel Air, MD. I would like to get my California to a dealer to have a fast idle problem solved.

BUT, do I have a dealer within a reasonable distance that is up to the task? Any input would be appreciated.

Depends on reasonable. I would suggest Europa Macchina in Lewisberry, PA. It's 60 miles.

Just go to the Guzzi website and enter your location for dealers. Unfortunately it does it by state so you have to look in all nearby states. I put all of mine in a mapping program so I could judge distances and times then I watch on here and other sites to see who the saints and sinners are plus my own experience.
Mine boils down to 3 now and one of those I try to avoid. It was 5 within 2 hours but if you don't support your dealers you lose them and then your customers.

I have experience with Europa Machina on the south side of Harrisburg, Pa. But others have not had as good an experience as I have with them, just need to mention that. They are a really cool shop that mainly does vintage sports cars like Porsche. They also sell the Morgan 3 wheeler. I am not sure who they have currently spinning wrenches on Guzzi's.
Another option for you might be Ferracci up in Philly.
Speed's used to be down in Elkridge, Md. He may still be there and he may still be a Guzzi dealer. But he is not what he used to be, I am not sure if he could help you.

I ended up taking a ride up to Europa Macchina. I went there to set a warranty claim (broken/cracked heat shields). I enjoyed talking with the owner and will probably go back there so they can take care of the latest TSB.

Regarding my fast idle problem, the cause was a broken clutch switch. I broke it while screwing around with trying different handlebar adjustments. It seems that the clutch switch controls the idle speed when stopped and the clutch is pulled in. Got the new switch, put it on and no more fast idle issues!
