New to forum. Just picked up a 2013 Stelvio NTX Saturday. Today I checked the oil level on center stand and it has plenty in there. But I did notice that the oil had a slight red tint to it. Not blood red. More like a light cherry color to it. It was pretty clear which makes me believe oil was changed at 6200 mile mark (although I'll probably change it myself soon).

Any reason why it would be this color. Doesn't this bike not use coolant?

Sweet ok. Just wanted to check. I'll be posting a lot here as I think I'll be doing my own maintenance but from what I hear, we all do on these bikes.

Thanks again!

I think I've seen this phrase elsewhere "Moto Guzzi, making mechanics out of riders since 1921"

Easy.... I have a Ural and other than tire problems the bike has been hammer reliable since 2006!

Russian tires have really stiff sidewalls and really soft tread compound, still less expensive per mile than higher quality tires!
