Hi All, I've been waiting 4 weeks since I got the letter and contacted my dealer. He informed me today that Piaggo said here is a backlog of 4000 units for this set of parts with the sub manufacturer, so for any of you still waiting, I hope you are not in a hurry..

My parts have arrived- bike is booked in for Friday. Apparently Guzzi are sending the parts in random batches with no apparent rhyme or reason as to what is in the boxes being sent to dealers.

It must have something to do with where you live because I am picking up my bike tomorrow morning. Job's been done said the chief mechanic...

Re:warranty parts availability

Purchased a used Stelvio a week ago this past Saturday, it only had 95 miles on it.

The owner of the dealership has called twice a day to MG Headquarters in the USA but is not getting a response. Luigi is holding up my bike, I really don't want to take delivery with out the upgrade being performed. With my luck it would destroy itself and there would be metal bits every where in the motor.

Is this thread about the cams technical update? If it is, my shop tells me, as of 9 March, 2009, they can get all the parts except the "main" part, which is the cam. They will call me when it is available for order, then call me when I can take my bike in for the work.

My dealer called me last night and told me that Luigi called him today and the parts will be in the USA at the end of the month and once they clear customs we should have them.......figure mid April

So it is a race to see if I wear out a tire or a tappet by mid April, well, better say May.

I wouldn't worry too much. Out of 40 bikes, my dealer has only had one failure so far in over a year.

Guzzi don't know which of the few bikes are affected so they are recalling every single one as a precaution- in reality, many will be fine.

My recall work was done today. No problems- in fact there was no wear at all on the old parts.

lucky you-still waiting- there's a griso and mine stuck over here..word id, its the followers that are in short supply
