Hi everyone

As mentioned a couple of weeks ago in the pix thread, here's a detailed road report of my trip to the North Cape on the Batbike. Lots of pictures, some videos and a diary, website in german and english. A note on the diary: Go to the "Blog" page, scroll all the way down, click "Archive". You will find the first entry at the bottom of the page. Each diary entry features first the german, then the english text.

Hope you enjoy that.

Well Hank, that was quite impressive. Great storyteller too, you are. I did almost the same tour in my Fiat Seicento in 2001. From Holland of course (8200 km in 2 weeks). I did it the other way round north over Germany-Denmark-Sweden-Finland-Norway and back through Norway and saved the best part for the way back home. If you go for the first time to Scandinavia, Sweden is not so boring. But after you've seen Norway I fully agree to your conclusion.
But if you take your time for Sweden you'll find enough to visit. (but those countries are so big compared to Switzerland an Holland)

This year I'm planning a trip to Norway, but will stay south of Trondheim, because I just passed the south of Norway almost non-stop on the way back home in 2001. And this time I'll take the Guzzi of course! :p

Ciao Dolf. ;)

This is a very beautifully done trip report web site. How did you make this? I did a trip last summer that I have been struggling to get documented. After looking at this, I may just give up entirely... :eek:hmy:

Nice report and great pictures, I'm jealous :silly: :side:

Some day I hope to get to that part of the world, my ancestors are from Sweden and Norway, maybe when I retire :S in another 5 years.

Until then I will continue to navigate the USA..............we have some pretty good roads as well

Wow.

And of course, now I just *have* to take the Norge down the Stelvio! ;)

@Michael: My first impression: "must be iWeb". Looking at the source, indeed it is. Made on a Mac ;)

agreed - what a wonderful trip, & with weather to match!

thanks for sharing it B)

Thanks, guys.

@Brevabrabo: Making that trip in a Seicento, now THAT'S impressive!

@Michael: Indeed I used iWeb. Comes free on every Mac. There are some minor issues with the interface but all in all it's a very helpful tool to do a road report. Very intuitive, works seamlessly with other programs - and looks good.

Again, I can only strongly advise everyone to a) get a Stelvio and b) ride to Norway B)

Cheers, Hank
