Just purchased a 2016 Stelvio after a week long test ride on a 2014 California Touring. Lusted after the California but the Stelvio makes more sense to me and my style of riding. After putting 300 km on the Stelvio i have to ask why some obviously great features did not make it over to a bike designed and built for long distance touring.
So my wishlist to Mr Moto Guzzi would be.
Gear indicator and Cruise control. a couple other nice touches would be Fuel Range to empty( I know fuel tanker status) and tire pressure monitor. ( not Im just being picky)

But seriously I love the Stelvio, what hoot tor ride.

Yep I agree with you bout the cruise control and I will go along with you about the gear indicator. There probably saving the cruise control for the 2020 models.

Dang I should have waited . The next gen will likley be liquid cooled to. Still glad I brought it though.

I bought my first new motorcycle in 1980,and have lost count of how many I've owned since then and only one 1 had electronic cruise. Lots of throttle locks installed though. I couple had gear position indicators . These (luxury items) are on the California and made the ride experience just that little bit nicer. (Kaoko throttle lock on order)
Mind you the annoying flashing green light that tells you the cruise is turned on but not engaged makes you think you left a signal light blinking.
I'm sure once I get use to the Stelvio I won't keep trying to grab 6th when I'm already there.
Very impressed with the Stelvio and look forward to many KM in the saddle.
Holy crap that was a long post. WP 20151003 10 56 47 Pro

I wish mine had self cancelling turn signals.

I put a Rostra on my '09 just before a deer killed it. I'll probably try to move to my new '15 this winter.

A gear indicator would be nice also, but not as important as the cruise.

Location was the hard part. I mounted it inside the right pannier bracket in the void where a muffler might be. Chuck H has a pretty good writeup, search in the Stelvio section. I think he mounted the unit under the seat.
