Speaker LED

They're the future. I have LEDs on my cycle, the front is a 5w cree and it's the best light I've ever had. The price keeps coming down but it's the housing that costs more than the light source.

I searched the net and can get one for about US$400, except it is designed for RHT (right hand traffic) and we need LHT.
That means finding one in England and freighting it over.

The guy in the local shop has been so good, trial fitting it to my bike as the OEM light mount is totally different, I should ignore e-bay this time.

Ok, I bought the light locally, went to an early British bike shop and got 5 'W' clips to attach the Speaker to the standard chrome headlight ring. Slim horizontal park light at top. Low beam is middle and Hi beam is at the bottom.
The two vertical rectangular shaped lights on each side are permanent spreaders. Lights up the shed in daytime like massive spot lights. Can't wait for the sun to go down ........................... and the storm clouds to go away.

Bloody Rain!

Tested low beam in 15m wide x 45m long carpark. Lights up wall to wall bright white.

Voltage meter on dash now reads higher because LED's draw a lot less current.

Nice! I have a HID low beam on my Breva and it's extremely effective. As I do very little mileage in the dark I couldn't justify to myself the outlay for what would be a small gain, compared to going from the standard to HID or LED.

As I said in my earlier post, LEDs are the future, and have been standard in rear lights for many years.

I just need to wait until the Chinese start producing them. ;)

The extra weight would help keep the front wheel of your sky rocket closer to planet Earth.

After a ride last night (in the bloody rain), the child in me just had to go out and play. I found it still suffers like all motorcycles with a light designed for cars. Pitch it hard into a corner and what was the horizontal cut off between light and dark somewhere out there in the future, now becomes a shadow in the gutter parallel to the bike.

I have a pair of 55w Hella driving lights in the shed, mounted pointing outward at say 25 degrees, with both lenses rotated inwardly in their housings at approx. 30 degrees, should throw a nice spread of light to the inside of any corner.

Apologies in advance to the possums & squirrels on the outside of every corner I ride. :pinch:

hey Ghezzi, i've been looking into these headlights for the last couple months. can you post a few pictures of how you secured the SPEAKER to the stock headlight ring? i'm not sure what "W" clips are..
