Service light question

Coincidentally, I have the exact same issue: SERVICE and the red triangle for about 1 second then off. No codes in the dash or ECU, I even tried to clear all stored codes with no success. I also reset the service indicator in the menu but it's still 1k+ miles from the 6250 mile service.

I recently replaced the leaking Yuasa with a Motobatt and also replaced the dash power outlet with a Blue Seas USB outlet (plug and play by the way, no fairing mods needed). Bike runs great, this is more of a nuisance but I would like to find out what the cause is.

Oil level is on the low end of the dipstick and has been at that level for some time.

What product model USB socket? Is it the 1045? Website states this model is not available until Jan '16? This is the only model without a flange face.

It's the dual USB socket. The rectangular flange with two screw holes is separate and slides right off. The socket is partial press-fit as the slope of the fairing limits how far onto the socket you can thread the nut. It wont' fall out once you tighten it down.

Well it seems as if the service message has decided to take a vacation from bugging me. I ride every day and for about a week it has not come up once. Ive not changed anything, cleaned it, or worked on it in any way, Guzzi character, of course this will jinx it and start the cycle again.:shake:
