Here's one that should be stupid-easy. Hint; it's California.

Help yourselves to a handful of cigars.

It is General Patton and the statues is his memorial on Avenue J-F Kennedy on the outskirts of Ettelbruck in Luxembourg.

In lieu of cigars, I'll post this -- which I took last week -- and ask if any here can ID it and the roads it connects.

There is, of course, a hint in that previous sentence. ;)

OK, I'll try, tho, after reviewing my pix -- which, oddly, I cannot get to display here -- pretty sure not seegar worthy.

La. CR 5?

If not, L.a CR 264?

Back to real life ...

It is Mississippi Hwy 587 aka Red Bluff Road it runs from Foxworth, Ms along the Pearl River Basin to Monticello, Ms . The curve in my picture is a very tight slightly on camber decreasing radius turn that has taken it toll on many riders.
I usually try to ride it during the week because on weekends the crotch rocket crowds are on it in large numbers.

This thread has been a bit inactive for a while so I'll try to kick it off again...
Anyone know this?

Check out the writing on the wall, it's Tuscany, Italy.

Ah, the famous "handwriting on the wall." Clever.

Actually, that did not appear to me until -- after your "hint" -- I downloaded pic and enlarged.

Have been to Tuscany a bit, tho never on (ICE-powered) two wheels, and (tho, regrettably, memory is not the first thing that goes with age , think I'd remember that scene.

Must be along the rout of some car race, as, possibly, especially together on same wall, "OSCA" refers to the FIAT, and "NUVOLARE" to Tazio.

Recall a vintage autogiro meet in Siena once, so I'll just guess it's near there, as I no time just now to look routes up.

A nice puzzler. Thanks.

OK, as this thread's been on a battery tender for a bit, thought I'd get it started again.

Too winter nasty still to ride here yet, so I went to my 2015 archives.

OK, OK, it's not ON the road, but very visible from it ... or I'd never have seen it!

And, yes, tough, but no clues just yet.

I'll keep looking. :D

No stabs, huh?

Too bad, as it sits on a grand motorcycling road.

Oh well. Perhaps you knew it by another name … or even at another place. It’s BTDT!

Started life as an interurban light rail car, then morphed into a fitful existence as a diner, in which incarnation it traveled even more than it did on iron wheels.

Two pictorial hints:

I know it and have ate there. I just pay no attention to this thread normally. Had a great breakfast. I wanted to say it is in NY but after wasting probably 20 minutes I found my photos. Quechee Diner Quechee, VT. Sorry to say in this photo I was on my R1200GS and my brother was on his FJR1300.

Nicely done!

Yes, along U.S. 4 just west of the N.H. state line.

I’m a sucker for wayside diners an other local dives.

Here are a few interior shots ... tho the first is now likely still a part of my exterior!

I was riding back from the national rally in Swanzey, N.H. Took two (grand) days. The Norge is such a joy on the back roads of the Appalachian spine.

I posted a pictorial of that trip, but, hey, it’s winter here now, so, anyone similarly afflicted may wile away some hours ‘tip spring here:

In the meantime, rudy, bet you have a pic of a road or two to post here to puzzle the rest of us. ;)

Best,

Bill
