Tuned and Synch'ed
Hey folks, Steve (Fossil) here. I recently acquired a very nice '83 LM III and LOVE it. However, there is one small issue I would like to find a fix for. The reach to the levers, especially the front brake, is a bit of a stretch for me even though I don't really have small hands. I guess the more modern bikes have spoiled me. When rolling to a stop and down shifting it is a bit clumsy-feeling to use the front brake and "blip" the throttle with such a reach. I have read before that I am not alone on this. Surely there are either aftermarket "dog leg" levers or ones from another bike that could be used, possibly with some modifications, to remedy this situation. I've even read one solution of heating and bending the original levers, which doesn't sound like a good idea to me. I can and will ride the bike as is but would feel much more comfortable if I could find a cure for this small issue on such an otherwise great bike. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks, Steve
