Radical Guzzi

Fascinating article, engine wise I am very interested in the 1380 pistons and cylinders fitting the 1151 heads. Does anyone know if there's enough meat in the pots to bore them out from 95 on the 1151 to the 104 needed on the 1380. Very happy with my old stelvio, be even happier with a 1380 stelvio! Todd pl. keep us informed with your progress with the fuel injection problems.

Yes, there's enough material, but I suggest just purchasing the 1380 cylinders and pistons from the 1400... Though it will require a crank re-balance. This is what Stephen at RG does. I am not remotely concerned with fueling with my full PC-V/AT-300 kit.

Hello chaps,
I'm new here, came over from Adv. Rider to learn what I can about Guzzies and this is fortuitously the first thread I looked at on this forum.
Just wanted to say what a great result I think you had. Don't agree with the thread title though, I don't think that's Radical so much as Just Right.

If your face doesn't split from grinning I reckon there's something wrong - congratulations.

Cheers Maurie.

Ken here from BuildThreads, Inc.

Congrats and nice work tryengel and everyone who posted in this thread - this build thread was chosen as a Best Build Thread pick for this week.

What this means is that a bunch of guys who like to build stuff (cars, trucks, 4x4s, bikes, cabins, boats, planes, and garages) and have read a ton of build threads, thought that this build thread makes a valuable contribution to online DIY culture.

So, without further ado:

Here's your listing on our BikeBuilds.net site: Moto Guzzi Radical by tryengel, fully credited to you and guzzitech.com, and linked back to your thread via title link, bare URL link, and a linked thumbnail image (like Google Images). We also have a page listing all builds from guzzitech.com: All Builds From guzzitech.com. Congrats again and cheers!

Nice bike mate. Love the paint, though I don't quite get the rooster.
The galletto (rooster) is the Italian symbol for good luck and good fortune. You will see the symbol displayed in Italian pottery, wall art, etc. ,in homes, restaurants, hotels,.... . , in Italy. The Galletto was (also) a Moto Guzzi scooter from the 1950's. You can see the same rooster in the attached photo. The only reason(s) I added this to the bike were because of it's symbolism, and I had hoped people would ask about it. Thanks for asking.

Ok. I understand the Galletto, Historical connections etc, but I don't think I would ever want a chicken on my fuel tank.

I will be laying the bike up for the winter shortly. Snow has arrived here on the 'front range.' The only project I have for the bike this winter is to relocate the footrests more forward, and relocate the rear brake master, to a horizontal position under the footrest. That is pretty much it. I put many miles on the bike this summer/fall with zero issues so there isn't much I plan to change. Unnamed Unnamed 1

They also get magazine coverage. I can't remember where I saw it and it may be the same bike but I am thinking it had the 1400 motor in it. The exhaust wrapped back around forward and was black. My rememberer is becoming faulty.
