Just wondering if a stelvio rear wheel would fit on a mid 2000 Calvin? Or maybe just get the rim and lace it to my rear hub. Thinking this because the stelvio wheel is the correct size for a 150/70-17 radial.

Stelvio is a CARC model, single-sided Swing-arm, so no, it wont fit.

It also uses special O-Ring sealed Spoke Nipples, to allow it to run Tubeless Tyres.
Does the CalVin have the same set-up?

You'll probably be better off (time-wise and financially) to just get a suitable sized Rim laced to your current Hub.

Not sure about your part of the world MK, but in the UK, a new 5 or 5.5" Rim laced to your own Hub would set you back around $430
That includes the Rim, Spokes, and build.

I imagine it would be about the same in the States.

Price will vary a bit either way depending on your choice of Rim (Flanged/Flangeless, and maker) and spokes (Galvanised Steel/Stainless/Butted/Double-Butted, etc).

Mike, I've done a handful of custom built wheels. 4.25" rear rim laced onto the stock hub. I've also done the front, and would recommend a 3.5x18 and a 120/70-18 Dunlop RS II radial for the front. Contact me direct email if interested in a set.
