Picked Up My New Racer Today! :-)

I went to that school, it was called SMU and previous to that SMTI when it was over in New Bedford. My youngest daughter attended Boston College.

Don't be sorry, enjoy reading what you are all up to. I need to get my passport renewed before I can even think of heading down to the states! That being said, would be happy to meet up with folks when the time comes and if there is any interest. Ride safe!

That is the evaporator canister at at the sump. Many folks remove those. I did on my V11 and didn't notice any smoother running. I have not contemplated taking of my V7.

I end up going into the Navy after graduation, end up flying F-14's for 6 years and then the AIrlines, PSA and then Southwest, retired these days. Retirement I find boring, too much time and not enough money for my likings. Wife is still working so It's just me and the dogs all day. I need to ride more.

I removed that canister from this V7. It was causing the fuel tank to pressurize, also removed it from my Bonneville, pain in the ass, same thing on that bike, it caused the tank to pressurize. Those check valves get stuck in the closed position.

Elkgrichard,
I'm in Southeast Massachusetts, down by Taunton. Laconia is a favorite ride for me. Where did you grow up?
Joe

Have your son go over to Padanaram, that little bay in Dartmouth, they have the New Bedford Yacht club over there. He can take sailing lessons. IF he's a student he'd probably get a deal on lessons. Not only that some really fantastic looking women get involved in sailing. Back in the day I was all over those girls in that sailing club. I was one of the instructors. YIKES!!!
I've got some stories, but I'll leave that for another day. Somebody could read this stuff and I'll get into trouble.

great mods you have done.
you are right about passenger pegs. The OEM accesorie item in the passenger kit looks really bad. Guzzitech sells bette looking pegs. But shiiping from USA costs alot so I had to buy the OEM ones.
Crash bars are sure functional bur i have to mention that those look real bad on the fancy bike.
Waiting to see more mods.
Have fun and ride safe.
