After a good number of hours in the saddle on saturday, I decided that some additional comfort is needed for longer than 2 hours! I am looking at bead rider versus air hawk. Any thoughts from the gang about either? any personal testimonies?

I am very appreciative of any information.

Thanks for sharing!

I used beads for a couple of years with my stock Triumph T100 seat. Certainly an improvement over the stock seat, which is arguably one of the worst seats sold in recent history. One benefit of the beads is a very modest amount of air space and flow, which is nice in really hot weather.

As of late I've gone to Corbin seats for my 'long riders'.

I know a lot of riders who use beads-gotta be something to it.
Airhawks work, too. If I have 500 or more slab miles I may use the R version for a stint in the middle of that ride to move pressure points.
Comfort is SO subjective that seats are like screens. You'll most likely need to try a lot of them to get what you need.

I tried Airhawks but didn't like the crowding of my privates. King of F and others said to try the new R version of the Airhawk, so I'll give that a go.

Airhawks isn't bad, maybe it just needs more long distance testing by me. Ironically the stock "board" seat feels great on short trips, but after hours starts hurting. Maybe then the Airhawk will shine.

I like the beads quite a bit, but they do put you up a little higher in the saddle, and that takes a little getting used to. Also, if you anchor yourself to your bike with your butt cheeks, you'll have to learn a whole new way of grabbing hold 'cause those beads take that away from you.
