So I rode it two days ago. Worked perfectly.

This morning I changed the left side exhaust gasket at y pipe.

Tried to start it afterwards. Turn key and..... NOTHING. no click, no dash, no fuel pump. The only thing that powers up is the 12V outlet.

Checked every fuse I know of. (under clocks, behind right side cover and right side by battery) all removed tested and reinserted.
All good.

Battery shows 12.8V, cleaned posts etc.
Even tried to boost.

Out of ideas now......

Anyone?

As it turns out I just found the problem.

The cable that connects to the underside of the starter had been disturbed when I removed the starter cover in order be able to move the header far enough to get the header out of the Y pipe and replace the gasket. The wires that go to the 02 sensor are connected to the inside of the cover limiting the amount I could move the header.
This connection at the bottom of the starter had failed when removing the cover.

I thought the ground connected at the top of the starter but it would appear it is at the bottom but there is one attached at the top too so not quite sure.

That is puzzling, but if she runs now it doesn't really matter.
