20160710 202035 My uncle bought this in 91 from his friend who bought it new.
For years I alway told him I would love to own/ride it.
Well he called last week and told me I could have it for 1k. Needless to say I was just so stoked. It is almost all original except the seat.
I just order all new rubber intake boots a carb gasket kit, clutch, speed and tach cables.
Im not sure what the original grips look like but may go back to them.

Anyway thought I would share a few photos. This bike should be in my family for at least the next 3 generations.

OFASDRACING.

Nice example. I had an 83 and rode it for years. This bike has terrific fuel mileage and range. The stock grips were not great, I recommend using what is comfortable for you.

Thanks for posting. Nice to keep it in the family & real great you are not going to turn it into a cafe racer.

Sounds like you might have some cool memories tied to this machine.

Wow! Very clean, very nice indeed!

My bet is you're gunna get used to folks sayin that.

Congrats,

Alex

wow. i love it. i like that better than my metal by a long shot. makes me miss my '76 convert.

What a great looking sled. Love to see you keep up with the posts, pictures and progress. Older Guzzis are my favorite. One day when I return to America I will get a 70's model to restore. It would take very little for that bike to be 100% trustworthy for coast to coast rides. Don't worry about returning it to bone stock. If the upgrades are still serviceable, consider them part of the bike's history.
