So after nearly two decades of accident free riding, I had a low speed, low side. Thankfully, I was not going very fast 20-30mph but there is still damage.
Me: a few bumps and bruises and a broken humerus

The bike doesn't look to bad. Shifter is loose but doesn't seem damaged. The shoulder screw that attaches it simply broke. Both turn signal lenses are scratched but not broken. The left mirror is scratched as is the bar end and clutch lever. The y pipe cover is scratched, and the can has rash on it. None of that really concerns me to much but the valve cover took a shot as expected.

I have not started the bike since the accident (Sunday morning), nor have I contacted my insurance company. Should I take the bike to the dealer for evaluation, should I call the adjuster...

If the damage is as superficial as it appears I would just assume fix the bike without evolving the insurance co.

How worried should I be that I ruined the motor?

As all parts of the exhaust show damage I am thinking about a complete stainless system. I've always liked ARROW but I believe they only make their headers and "Y" pipe in Ti. Truthfully, I don't like the color shifts TI usually get. Does anyone know if they make their headers in SS or does someone else make stainless headers for our bikes?

I was going to say go on the store link above for a GuzziTech stainless system but I see they are titanium. I kinda like the color change but I can understand why you don't.
I highly doubt the engine was damaged at all. No hole ground through the valve cover so no debris in the engine. With that minimal grinding it sure looks like a low speed drop. I worked in a Honda shop for 20 years, saw many a crashed bike way worse than that and the engines could care less.
If you can fix that broken shifter bolt I would pronounce it a rider. Get a new valve cover and go.
All of this is once your arm gets better. That looks like it hurts. At least that was the sum total but still no fun.

Hi, I dropped my '15 with exactly the same damage to the bike but a broken clavicle... forced onto a diesel spill on a 40kph left-hander. Only 1000km on the bike, I took it back to the dealer who stripped the left side to look for internal damage. Nothing was reported as broken because I think the mechanic was hoping to buy it from the insurance firm. The insurance assessor said it was uneconomical to repair (put back together) so they gave me a new one.... anyway, long story short. did you find any mechanical damage after the fall and any recommendations for protection?

I repaired the cosmetic damage and installed a new exhaust. Ive put 800-1000 miles on the bike since the accident with no issues.
