Anyone here have these? Just ordered mine based on their short YouTube clip. Mistral seem to be one of the best respected providers, love to hear anyone with a 1400 that has Mistral, thoughts, issues, loves, hates etc

I have a set on my 2014 California 1400 Custom. While they sound great with the db killers removed, I'm seriously afraid of the fuel mixture leaning out too much for the motor's health (lots of pops and bangs on throttle rolloff). Sound isn't QUITE as good with them still in, but the behavior on throttle chop is much better. If you are a fan of Harley straight pipes, better start saving your sheckles for fueling mods. You're going to need them.... ;-)

Well the stock pipe are so quiet I can hear a mouse fart, so Im hoping that the Mistrals with db killers in will at least have a healthier and less jap cruiser sound. I have NO desire to sound like a Harley lemming!!

I have the Mistrals on my Touring and I'm enjoying them very much. Contrary to what James said I find the no-baffles option to be excessively loud so I kept the baffles in. Riding at slower speeds I hear the engine very clearly, on a highway at constant speed I almost don't hear it at all.

From what I've seen the latest versions of Mistrals are coming with a redesigned baffle which is supposedly somewhat louder than the version I have.

Keith,

The Mistral muffler for the California (same as MGx-21, except stock is chrome, not black). I had them for a while but ended up selling them because they were too loud for my taste. But, they DID have a nice sound (except for being too loud) and they are about half the weight of the OEM mufflers. I had the Carbon version.

Well, they are certainly well known in the Guzzi community.
I started developing my own exhaust offerings when I tired of constantly repairing and replacing big name brand exhaust parts. My GT-Rx® offerings on the online Store tab above have a lifetime warrantee, and I dyno test all of them to insure power gains, unlike 95% of those on the market now; https://www.guzzitech.com/forums/threads/guzzitech-gt-rx-modded-cal-14-dyno-vs-stock.13773/

Sound is subjective/personal. I try hard to provide respectable sound while still providing substantial gains... of course only after fueling is revised, which also is ignored by most others.

Looking good, sound test yet to come...

Keeft-mgx Looks like you have the black version of the ones I run. Mine are polished stainless with the same machined aluminum end cap.
They are somewhat louder than i expected...making them just about right with the baffles out. (A bit too sedate for me with the baffles in) Sufficiently obnoxious, without being all "straight pipe"...and, thanks the the 90 degree engine, an exhaust note that will NEVER be mistaken for a Harley...
NOTE: I have and HIGHLY recommend Todd's full fueling black magic kit. Worth the $$$...seriously.

Does Todd have a fueling kit that been tested in the 2017s? And what does that cost................

Per post above, always best to just write me. I can't catch every post here. '16+ models are good, but the silly CEL is on because of the air pump into the headers. I am working on resolving that still. Pricing is on the online Store tab above.
