Need instructions to remove panniers on the above...help please.

NOTHING in either owners manual or shop manual...
 
Insert key. Turn opposite the way you turn to unlock the bags and push down. WHAT!? You say they still won't come off. Well push the bag forward then look at the front of the bag just inside of the frame. See the little wire bale? Flip it up above the little pin it is over. This is a safety so the bags don't fly off should they unlatch. No dealer seems to tell anyone about it.
 
While I have your attention, cannot find info as to how to adjust preload on rear shocks...anything you can add will be greatly appreciated!
