I have been just denied a warranty claim on condensation inside the instrument panel where a film has been left on the inside of the panel plastic. This shows up in direct sunlight and a visual blight on my beatiful bike. Has anyone fixed this problem on their bikes?

Again not the response that you are hoping for but my Eldo has stayed fog free in conditions that left my Tom Tom Rider totally useless. 'Tis indeed a strange world.
That being said it's a pity Guzzi (Piaggio) can't take a leaf out of Tom Tom's book, I've had a couple of problems in the past and they always reply within 24 hours of getting an email and both times have either supplied a fix to the problem or supplied new parts free of charge, this time re: the fogging screen I have just received an email saying it will be repaired even though it is out of warranty. If only Piaggio would look after their customers in the same manner what a wonderful world it would be.

I have found that if I turn on the headlight rather than run the LED running lights, this normally will clear the fog from the instrument panel. I managed to get Guzzi to replace my instrument panel, but the new one began to do the same thing within a matter of weeks. Some 1400's never have the problem, others do with no rhyme or reason. Ditto the bugs accumulating in the headlight.

My replacement was initially denied my Piaggio, however through the persistance of the Moto Guzzi dealer, Scoot Richmond, that decesion was reversed. I have nothing but good things to say about this Dealer located in Virginia, however the experience with the dealer in my state, NC, was the exact opposite.

Totally agree with your comments regarding dealer input, I believe it's down to how much the dealer cares about their reputation, and attitude to customer service. Not sure how things work in the States but my dealer is solely an agent for MG, Vespa and Aprillia all of which are under the Piaggio banner, whereas a multi franchise dealer is more likely interested in sales volume.

Precisely. The Virginia Dealer is Moto Guzzi & Triumph only whereby the NC Dealer carries Aprillia, Can-Am,Yamaha, Kawasaki, Polaris, Triton, SeaDoo, Kymco as well as Moto Guzzi. Sales volume it is.

Lucky you are in the states.

Here at the ends of the earth we get a flat no, rejected. I'm not the only one who has had there claim rejected here in New Zealand.
And we live in the rainy isles.

Try dealing with an agent who happens to be Triumph NZ.

Scoot also does a few brands of scooters as well(where they started) and is working on adding some other brands of bikes.

Glad you had good service with them. The owner does generally seem to care when issues come up but I know they have had to do some cleaning over the last few years. Luckily I haven't had to use them for my guzzi so far. I know the people in the triumph rat forums were not as happy with the service. I know the service manager they added like two years ago or so has helped make the place run better. Someone told me they have been getting really good reviews as of late.
