Cruisin' Guzzisti
Does Guzzi under rate the engine, or is the published 105 hp actually from the rear wheel on a dyno? I'm coming from a 2016 Ducati Multistrada 1200 and before that a 2013 Multistrada 1200S. I expected this new Stelvio to be a "tamer" bike. Nope !!! I'm @ 550 miles total on the bike since delivery on Aug 29th and this thing *moves*. Granted, been doing the proper break-in more or less the motoman technique except I respect the factory suggested 6500rpm rev boundary.... mostly.... but giving it strong accel followed by bleeding off the speed by engine decel.
Really loving this bike, it was an excellent choice to replace my totaled 2016 Multistrada. Today was really the first day I had to spend time tweaking the suspension setup, and all really have it at is the book settings for the 2nd tier of load, the next step past normal I think they call it medium or whatever. 7 turns in from out fork preload with 2 turns out from closed of the reb and comp screws, 28 turns of the knob from bottom and 20 clicks out on the rear screw. Very balanced performance, good curve manners, firm ride quality for my 6'2" 220lbs. Love it.
