Want to transform the stock seat on my 1400 Custom into a solo saddle by trimming about 6 or 7 inches off the rear.
Who do you recommend for such a modification?

Thanks in advance.

How about just getting an Eldorado seat, then you can keep the stock one in case you want to sell it later on.

I considered that, but it sticks up too much in the back. Look at one from the side and you'll see what I mean.
Thanks for the suggestion.

I have used Seth Laam with good results (although others have encountered significant delays).

Have you considered an Audace seat? The passenger section disconnects easily. Here is a link to a pic:

Good luck,

As a matter of fact, yes; bought one and am now trying to sell it on this site in the classifieds. The Audace has different side covers that account for its narrower seat. When I mounted it on my Custom, there are gaps between the edge of the seat and the side cover on each side.
