I am looking for a Corbin seat for my Eldorado,
since Corbin doesnt make an off the shelf seat,
my options are to ship the bike to CA to have a seat made.
I have been looking on Ebay for a seat that looks close to the Eldos driver seat
I was thinking they have made lots of custom seats for many motorcycles.

So with that in mind i started thinking whats the biggest customer for Corbin seats?
I thought HD had to be the most prolific.

I have started looking at Corbin seats for different HD models.
Has anyone else fitted any other seat to their MG Eldorado?
Thanks, Stan

Know anyone with a slightly older California Custom or Touring? If so, pop both seats off, and see if they will swap easily. I have a Corbin on my 2014 California Custom. Same basic seatpan dimensions (the Corbin base is hella more robust than the stock pan), and also just stays within the accessory factory luggage rack in the rear/passenger area. I would be surprised if Guzzi has strayed far from these dimensions much for the current Eldorado...

I have been doing some searching and found that MG makes whats called comfort seat that is made of a more dense foam similar to the Corbin seat,
the parts number is also for the MGX 21.

NOTE the seat for the MGX 21 and the Eldorado are interchangeable,
thus the so is the comfort seat thats sold for the MGX 21.

NOTE the salesman went and put this comfort seat on an Eldorado to confirm its fitment,
and it was also fit with the rear pillion Eldo seat in place

part number is
2S000787.

NOTE I found a few of them posted on Ebay one listed in MI and WA. i bought the one for 120.00 and the shipping will be adjusted to my mailing address the other one is selling for 125.00

I will post more info about this new seat when i get it

I've had Sargent do my seat over. They use a super cell atomic foam. It firms up the seat and then they cover it with a marine grade vinyl. Good job for under $200.

I have a Corbin saddle on my 2016 Eldorado. It's actually a saddle for a California. It fits because I have a Hepco Becker luggage rack, also from a California. So, if you really want a Corbin, you have to turn your Eldo into a Caldo. Not the best photo attached but the best I currently have. IMG 20170929 150431125 HDR

The seat is pictured on the MGX 21 it looks similar to stock except the edges and rear portion have an alcantara insert with Moto Guzzi embroidered on iT

I'm just curious, I find the stock seat very comfortable, why would you want a "firmer" seat?

I have plenty of meat on my ass, and it's certainly an improvement over the stock 2014 Custom saddle. It's also wider, with a somewhat different sculpt on the rider's bucket area. With the stock seat I was needing to dismount every hour or so. The Corbin added another 30-45 minutes for me. YMMV... ;-)

I have had Corbins on all of my other bikes they are firmer and allow me to ride for a few tanks of fuel before wanting to get off the bike the stock seat on my Eldo is too cushy soft and it makes for a fatiguing ride for me.

I hope this new Comfort seat is just what it says

Well i got the comfort seat , this is a part thats made for the MGX 21.
It drops right into the Eldo mounting catch

This seat is a smaller seat than the Eldorado seat ,
the front edge is the same but as the seat transitions to the rear the Eldorado seat is about 1 inch wider on each side at the rear,
also the new seat is about 3/4 of an inch lower at the rear bolster.

The seating position feels a bit lower but i am not sinking into the seat like the original, the original seat gives a spongy ride the comfort seat is firm.
The new seat has a more dense foam it transmits more road and engine vibration to the rider, that said I like it.
Also the new seat does not have the threaded seams running along the sides , on mine the threads are starting to fray from having my legs rubbing on the seams.

The comfort seat also has a nice Alcantera looking perforated look surface with MOTO GUZZI stitched in black thread that runs around the top rear edge of the bolster.

I have to put more miles on it for a better evaluation stay tuned

I like the seat so far its easier for me to ride farther without noticing the seat.

No more with a cushy leaning feeling from the stock seat.

That said I am on the lookout for a Corbin seat made for a California .

NOTE the MGX comfort seat was less than 150.00 shipped so its a great deal price wise
