I bumped into a fellow 2006 B11 owner with 99k miles on his bike since new (not a forum member) who gave me a "why didn't I think of that!?!" remark after seeing my GPS and phone RAM mounting and power feed arrangements (dual USB outlet mounted to the right fork leg). I figured if he didn't know about it, it would be worth sharing with the forum. Just a note if you use a tank bag (I don't), you will need longer RAM arms to clear the bag going steering lock-to-lock. I also had to trim the cut-outs at the end of the arms using a dremel to lean everything over more to clear the view of the gauges. It was really easy. I've put about over 500 miles on the mount system and everything has made it home with me (so far). Best part is you can tell everyone your bike has a new set of balls ;-)

As a general rule I don't have the phone or GPS out (neither are water-friendly) if riding in the rain so it's not an issue for me. When not in use, the rubber weather tight cap of the power outlet seals it closed nicely.

Thanks Dave. RAM makes a specific set-up to replace the handlebar bolt. Easy-peasy. Have a look at the Amazon link with the photos which will better explain.
