im looking for a better side bag setup rather than soft bags for my 1400 custom with the OEM rack. According to the AF1 site you cannot use the C bow mounts with the OEM rack. Has anyone got a suggestion or been able to make the C bows work with the Guzzi rear rack.

I have the Hepco - Becker rear rack installed with my CBows. Works just fine, but probably not the answer you were looking for.

I have the OEM rack installed with C-bow mounts. Since both wanted to use the same rear mounting bolts, I had to cut about 6mm off the C-bow mount. However, I understand the later C-bow mounts come with this already done and a spacer if there is no OEM rack present.

Check with Hepco Becker direct, as Kiwi Dave says they are constantly up dating their products. I fitted C bows to my Eldo a couple of years ago and had to make up brackets to fit the Cali ones but now they make them specifically for the Eldo.

Thanks for the replies. I did get my answer from one of the members here who has overcome this problem. I will work with Todd to get the parts and get the C bow modified.
