I just purchased a new V7111 Racer.
Riding home the engine just quit 17kl on bike
does it have a heat sensor of sorts. I was in heavy slow moving traffic. Maybe part of the beak in protection.

If your bike has the EVAP system, one possible failure is that the vacuum regulating gizmo can fail and then the fuel pump has to fight against vacuum being applied to the tank air vent.

Sorry guys, I was away from the site off island.

The engine quit that one time only. I had just refueled with 17 kl on the bike and all of a sudden it just died .
As I searched for obvious reasons. I would push the starter and nothing not a click nothing but lights on.
and after about 5 minutes as I was about to contact a tow truck I pushed one last time and it started.
Also of note I was in slow moving traffic at a crawl. So makebe an overheating sensor of sort.

In any case it has not happened since. But it is, becoming less so, a worrisome moment after every fill up.
But so far nothing else.

I have a bout 300 k on the bike and love it .
Only exception is the front suspension .At times feels like a flat spot on the tire or out of balance. Took it to the dealer and her response was you bought a Moto Guzzi didn't you know that?

I am following the suspension thread and see it is seems to be an issue. Need to connect with Todd.
Thank You for your inputs

If it's been running fine since, it was most likely just a transitory computer glitch. Check your battery connections and ground connections, then just keep going. Life's too short to keep worrying about this kinda stuff.

The fork on the V7s is a bit crude, I agree, but seems to be serviceable. It just doesn't have the kind of damping and compliance that the rest of the chassis and the rear suspension deserves. That flat spot or 'tire out of balance' feeling on my bike I felt too, once or twice, and I think it was the traction control system being subtly over-sensitive. The default setting on the TC system was level 2 ... I reset it to level 1 and have since not noticed any such feeling at all since.

I will try the reset for sure as soon as the rain ends this afternoon.
I think I should also move on one of the fork modifications.

Looks like the Matris V7 for kit at $279 might be an affordable solution. And it looks like same as the 359.95 option but looks like the application uses the existing springs. Which might be fine for me at 185 pounds.

I need to connect with Todd but does anyone have first hand information on the V7 Fork kit?

I went with the Matris Kit and weight rated springs from Race Tech. Major improvement, highly recommend.

Get Todd's advice. I went with the Matris full cartridge kit with springs to get the two-way adjustable damping and preload adjustability. But again, I'd get Todd's advice on what he feels is best for your needs.
