This issue may have already been discussed, so bear with me. I have a 2014 Guzzi Norge 8V with 4000 miles, I purchased it with only 1400 a few months ago. While riding in warm to hot weather and I come to a stop the low oil pressure indicator comes on, rev the engine a bit and it goes out. I have replaced the oil pressure sending unit, took a trip and on the way back got stuck in some stop and go traffic and eventually the low oil pressure light came on. I run Motul 10w60 oil and Hiflo filter, listening to the engine with a stethoscope it sounds solid and normal in the top and bottom ends. Going to run an oil pressure test and replace the sending unit again. Any info would be appreciated.

If you had this problem before a sensor swap and it happened again afterwards I would put a gauge on it just to be sure.
I would also drop the oil pan and clean the pick-up strainers and regulator and maybe swap out the upper pan gasket.
I would also delete all errors in ecu & dash w/software, it does a better job than w/LH switch. Good Luck.

Better put a gauge on it immediately, in the past, engines that demonstrated that quirk had broken outside ring on the oil pump.

Update: After clearing all the codes by disconnecting the battery and waiting for a reasonable warm day to ride, the low oil pressure indicator has not come back on. since the engine is running great, no oil consumption I have to assume the issue is resolved. Lets hope so!

There was a thread some time back about the upper sump gasket (you have the sump, sump gasket, spacer then another gasket) not being sealed well. It requires dropping the oil filter, sump, and sump gasket to replace it. Sometimes the screws securing the spacer are no installed well and the upper gasket may leak when the engine is hot.

Thanks for the info, I read that somewhere so I went ahead and ordered the gasket, going to leave it be and see if the light comes back on. So far so good!
