How to fix the sidestand?

There's at least two, the plate will have holes to accept the bolts. I know one of them is obscured by the LH exhaust pipe, and is usually the first to disappear. Remove the LH exhaust to get a better look.

Yes, thanks, someone has posted a photo on another group, the lower bolt has gone missing on mine. Strangely, this bolt isnt shown on any of the parts diagrams. I've been testing it, and think it's either M10 x 25 or M10 x 35. I'll find a supplier in the next few days to get one.

Parts manual shows one bolt/Allen screw but the quantity is 2. My guess it is the same size as the one present.

Just to contribute a little here too. You're right, John. There are 2 bolts. (Part number: 98231235, M12x35). I had issues with the loosening of the 2 bolts. Loctite and all other stuff didn't help (the heat, I reckon).

Anyway, with the help of a ball-end Allen key, with the leverage of the extension tool, I managed to tighten BOTH the fore outer bolt and the aft inner bolt (accessed through the cylindrical slot) together. With BOTH tightened, The help each other to stay tight. The fore bolt tends to get loose easier, so I shifted the exhaust pipe slightly closer so that it blocks the bolt from loosening all the way till it drops off. A major inconvenience on a tour. It can be accessible just enough with a ball-end Allen key without slipping. I bought a replacement bolt for standby esp on a tour.
