Former poster asked...
How hard is to change the stock OEM light indicators front and rear?
I'd like to get smaller lights but not sure if it implies removing the tank so else... what about the rear?

thanks!

My bike is a V7II 2016... I mean... I could go quick and dirty and cut the wires halfway and plug some connectors in between or solder them... but I wonder what's the proper way

I got some small lights that have a simple black / red wires with generic terminals like in this photo

Be aware that if you go LED you will need to add load resisters. That is well covered in the forum. Just checked the parts manual. There are connectors on the lead to the turn signal. That said, the mounting system is such that you would really have to do a butcher job on the bike to mount the type of turn signal you showed above. My opinion, if something works, don't fix it.

I know of my 2013 racer you can remove the spacers on the front and back turn signals to shorten them up. It's easy and makes it look better if that is a option for you to clean it up.

Some things just aren't worth the effort. Like I said earlier, if they work don't fix it.

What spacers are that? Same on later models (2016)?

Interesting idea — definitely something I might consider. Thanks for the photo. Hate to ask for more, but any chance you can post one zoomed out a bit so we can see the overall proportions on the bike? Did you remove spacers on the tail assembly also? What’s your thoughts on visibility/safety — does having the turn signals closer to the headlight (especially at night) make them harder to see? Thanks!

Feels just as safe as before still highly visible night and day. Removed front and back spacers. Just had to buy a feel dollars in shorter stainless nuts and bolts. 20180613 101301

Hello; I would have the same question and it would be to swap turn signals to smaller European-style on a 2022 V85TT? Thanks John
