I have a ‘16 Audace with a heated grips button, however, when I press it nothing happens and my manual just says press it and it has three modes of heat. Is this something that has to be added, or if the button is there it should have heated grips? Thanks for any help! I’m the first owner, bought it yesterday with 4 miles on it.

Hi Joe, welcome to the GT Forum and Guzzi Famiglia. Hope you'll add your info to the Registry here; https://www.guzzitech.com/forums/threads/cal1400-registry-pics-thread-add-your-bike.11538/

If you bought new, the dealer should've known that all stock 1400's do not come with heated grips. It's a dealer (or aftermarket) option, though the circuitry is in place already, as you well know.

I just purchased the OE heated grips for my Audace. The instructions are very cryptic. The MG instructions in general are not very good.

All Guzzi instructions are only intended for dealer installation, not retail customers. That said, even the dealers are left to guess based on experience.

$232 on AF1 site, says 2-3 weeks or so. I put them on about a year ago. Instructions are a little cryptic but it is an easy job with the plug ins. Did the same thing to my Aprilla Caponard and they were exactly the same, I paid more to the Aprilla dealer and waited 8 weeks for delivery.

Todd IS GuzziTech. You can contact him direct for any queries regarding store or other purchases or donate to the site (recommended), where you can "Ask the wrench" for prompt responses to any technical queries.

Re 2016 Audace and OE heated grips.

I noticed the left grip has 2 screws at 180 deg. apparat. Its not clear to me, if there are suppose to be holes in the handlebar to line up with. Or do they just screw down and pinch the bar. I haven't pulled off the stock grip yet, but by pulling it back I do not see any holes. See the attached instructions.
