What's the Bypass Pressure Opening Threshold psi on the OEM UFI Oil Filter?

Currently have the 8 flute Moto Guzzi OEM oil filter installed made by UFI. It has seeped oil, as I can see some oil stain adhering to underside of the skid plate but nothing much, not droplets. I've read where the OEM 8 flute filters seep like this but apparently there is an oil filter available from UFI that's exact same internally but w/ 14 flute casing. That's the filter I'm interested in getting for upcoming oil change, but want to make sure the bypass pressure rating is same as the Guzzi OEM.

Short of that, might consider a Bosch 3330 since it seems to be a valid cross reference but again, I like to match up the specs to any OEM filter 1:1 when looking for an after market substitute, so still seeking the bypass pressure rating on the OEM job.

All I can say is that I have gotten them both ways 8 & 14 flutes w/same P/N 30153000 from factory warehouse. For this I would expect they have the same relief valve, just a better rubber seal. Factory Tech Rep advised us to use the Bosch if we were not happy w/the seal.

BTW, that is the same oil filter used on many BMW models. Turns out Bosch make the BMW filter so the BMW wrench fits them perfectly.

The Bosch 3330 that is marked "Made in USA" are made by Purolator. I have never had any issues with this filter and prefer it to any made by UFI.

I have installed the HiFlo's and they are fine. HiFlo has an R&D building here in ATL,GA. They contacted the 1st dealership I worked at in GA. They had not made a long (newer style) oil filter for the 990 Rotax Aprilia engine. They bought one from us to copy. Their filters exceed the mfg filters and are guaranteed. If you read it, they will replace your motor if their oil filter fails.

Ended up ordering the HiFlo HF551. My current cap wrench is 8 flute but picked up a 14 flute 76mm one for $5 at Pep Boys yesterday.

FWIW, I found the bypass pressure opening spec for the UFI 23.287.00 oil filter. 1.2 bar ~ 17.4 psi

I'm having difficulty getting my head around understanding what this specification means? And even if it is important, it's not going to include the seepage issue where the oil gets past the filter seal.

Slightly off topic - the Bosch 3330 has about a thread and a half more than the OEM UFI filter. I like that aspect, and have not had any seepage between the last two oil changes.

Just an FYI - they redesigned most of the automotive filters, a couple years ago.
This may or may not apply to Moto Guzzi applications.

They have sorta flipped the endcaps to be convex, instead of concave. This causes the center metal of the end cap to bottom-out on the oil filter boss, before fully engaging the gasket. Again, this may not apply to Moto Guzzi Motorcycles, I don't know

Old filter on the left - new filter on the right

FWIW below is the response I got from HiFlo on the HF551. The rep did not release relief valve specs but did confirm that the HF551 is built to exact same specs as an OEM filter:

"...we have all our filters third party tested by TUV of Germany and certified by them to be a suitable replacement for the OE. If fact, TUV's minimum standard for this certification is the spec of the OE filter so the HF551 is certified to be a direct replacement. We are the only manufacturer in the world with this certification on all our filters.

When you buy our filter, you are not geting a "close enough" filter, you are getting a direct replacement that is third party certified to be correct (look for the blue and white TUV logo on the box)."
