Greetings everyone. As any of you who have read my postings over the years know, I am a Todd Sycophant. But not without good reason. He has made many improvements to the the MGs that I have owned over the last six years. But he has outdone himself this time.

I have a 2016 Eldorado that has 16,000 miles on it and I am getting it ready for a 12,000 mile ride in June. I have read about the cracking exhaust "H" pipes on 1400s but thus far mine has remained intact. But rather than take the chance that it will break in Chuckhole, Saskatchewan, I decided to order Todd's H pipe replacement and make a preemptive strike before I leave. It arrived today.

I have read that this unit is both well built and attractive. Understatements both. It's gorgeous! I've attached photos because words alone can't properly describe this item. Beautiful welds, nice metal finish. Even my wife, while passing by the table where I was taking the pictures, offered an unsolicited "That's neat". The only problem now is where to mount it so it shows!

Thanks Todd.

Perhaps you mean a different word.

Syncphant: a person who acts obsequiously toward someone important in order to gain advantage.
synonyms: toady, creep, crawler, fawner, flatterer, flunkey, truckler, groveller, doormat, lickspittle, kowtower, obsequious person, minion, hanger-on, leech, puppet, spaniel,

IMG 20190423 152211502 IMG 20190423 171349839 As it happens, we ARE going to PEI and Halifax. I'm just sort of the support vehicle for a Canadian friend who wants to go from coast to coast in Canada. He has a daughter in Halifax so we will be there a couple of days and he wants to take a turn around PEI while we are in the area. After that we ride back to his place in San Jose, California, via New England, Michigan, Wisconsin Minnesota, the Black Hills and Colorado. Should be fun.
Garwood.

PS - I installed the "H" pipe on the Eldo today. Took about three hours. Like every other exhaust system I have ever worked on, it took a bit of adjusting, and ultimately I had the entire exhaust system off or loose, but it wasn't too bad and the new pipe is MUCH nicer than the parts I cut off.

Halifax is beautiful, but never again. I transited through when in the Air Force never experienced cold like it. I stick to sunnier climes now.

Just wait until it gets its golden color after you put some heat through it! Ages like a fine wine.
