Not a bad thing, the Motus bikes were quite amazing. If they had built for the average rider, not only the wealthy ones, I think they would still be in business.it would probably look like a Motus motorcycle.
Whether you like it or not Mad Max is coming.
They still build the Audace, the carbon version though.First of all I am brand new to the forum. I am not yet a Guzzi owner, I almost was in 1970 when I had to decide between an Eldorado and a BMW R75/5. I went with the BMW. I rode Airheads for years and then quit riding for a bit in the later 2000's. The I jumped to the darkside and bought a Sportster and then went with an older Big Twin A little over two years ago I bought a Slim S, kind of a bobber. As of late I have become disenchanted with it. When I was looking to buy it I also test rode a Triumph Thunderbird, it was a nice bike but it just didn't excite me. The Guzzi dealer had an Audace which did excite me, unfortunately the salesman said it wasn't prepped so I couldn't ride it. Also it was way back in the showroom and they would have to move a bunch of bikes to get it out, probably the real reason for the lack of a test ride.
Well the reason for my post is that my interest has returned to the Audace. It seems that this model is far and few between. I checked with a dealer a few days ago who didn't have one but I wanted to see if he had access to one. He said no and that they were no longer being produced. The newest ones I have found are 2016 models which are being heavily discounted. Kind of another indication that the big blocks are going away?
Another dealer quite aways from me has one in stock. I called them before made the trip to see and test ride it. As they were getting it ready to ride it developed some kind of problem and locked up so I was unable to ride it. They said they would look into it and call me when the issue was discovered and or repaired. So apparently with this model and big blocks possibly going out of production should I snag this bike when the problem is remedied?
I realize I have strayed from the subject somewhat but I hope you all don't mind.
