Hi all, I plan to put my California 1400 Touring up for sale or auction and would appreciate any guidance you may have regarding pricing. It's a 2014 Touring in black with 1,500 miles in mint condition. The only mod is the addition of a usb charging adapter to power a phone. Thanks for your thoughts. Norm

Pricing depends a lot on market, but there is also another factor; time. If you can wait for the right buyer, set your price high and wait. If you need to sell NOW, set the price at a "bargain basement" price. Either way, it will sell.

Just visit: Ebay, CycleWorld & Craigs list to get an idea of what they are bringing in specific areas.

I have found prices ranging from 6500.00 to 12,000.
Here is an example: https://www.cycletrader.com/listing/---5007373093?zmc=send2friend-YMM-link-listing-detail

My brother called them & over the phone they told him 6,5 out the door.

Where are you in the SouthEast?

Seeing the 1400 Custom in your link makes me want to buy a spare, especially since the 1400 will be discontinued.

Guzzis these days are a buyer's market. At least here in Texas... BUT... What roadaventure above says is correct. Price high and WAIT... To sell quickly means accepting maybe 60% of what one can get for a (say) six month wait....

Not so sure, peaple want harley Davidson.

True. If you have the time (and patience) you will get the price you want.
Another alternative could be to trade in on another brand (Japanese or U.S). Those dealers often are not familiar enough to make any trade in offer other than what they look up in their book, which is typically a pretty good offer.

Yep, I just bought a spare. My father was selling his 2014 California Touring and I just couldn't let it get away. My Custom has 15,000 miles on it and with the 1400 being discontinued, I just had to buy it. It has 1,800 miles on it and has heated everything, good for Wisconsin. My mind is now at ease, knowing I have delayed the purchase on a non-Guzzi touring bike for the foreseeable future. :)
