I just finished my across and back of Canada on my 13 NTX from Vancouver to Cape Breton NS. Great trip, any info requests pleased to help, met many super people, the bike always drew attention.
It started to get an oil leak mid trip. The oil is coming from ABOVE the cylinders so suspecting oil line or breather issues I pulled the tank to access the upper area. The breather line above tranny was off so I hose clamped it thinking that was the cause.... nope. It did MOVE the oil further to the rear, so I think it is a line issue. Guys any help? Has anyone had a similar issue.
Thanks
Kevin

The Griso and Norge experience a leak in the same area and the Stelvio has the same motor. There is an oil line which connects to the top rear of each cylinder. It is in line with where the timing chain gear is inside. I just repaired mine. The lines crack just behind where they are clamped. According to another member the wrong material was used for the oil lines which causes them to crack prematurely.
There is a very recent thread about it.

Yes

Took the tank off and breather hose was off , hose clamped it . Not the leak seems to be coming from front. Will expose more maybe banjos
.

Phase sensor. Left side at the 11:00 position of the cylinder on the block. Two bolts holding the sensor. Just snug the bolts for now but some RTV on the o ring will cure the problem.

Think I've got it fixed....right upper banjo took about 1/4 turn ....seems good....for now.

Thanks Raven, would this be the spot where the line comes from the left cylinder head top? The entire left line shows oil 'sweat'. See pic
