I want to get a new cover since mine is all scratched up, but I have no idea what it's called to search for one. Hopefully there are metal ones. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

Howdy. I can be as obsessive as any Guzzi owner, but I’d just “work” with that.

If you must get it replaced, I haven’t checked Todd’s store — fhttps://gtmotocycles.com/collections/other/model_v7-iii?sort_by=best-selling — for a metal replacement, and think that unlikely. After all, it’s a pretty darn limited market as it is for Guzzis, and for bits like that, hard to imagine anyone going to the trouble.

If you go to the download section, you can find a V7 III parts manual or service manual, both of which will have the part number for that. You’ll need that to order a replacement from any of a number of sources.

Thanks Bill, yeah it's not that bad and I don't notice it very often, but when I do, it bugs me. I'll see if I can find it in manual.

I believe that's the injector trim cover. OEM part# 978939. I'm pretty sure they sell a nice metal replacement for that part in the Guzzitech store. I'd wait for someone else to confirm that's the correct part before plunking down any money though.

I'd check on Todd's offerings or what he can get in first, but AF1 Racing sells metal versions on their webstore as well.
