So i got a USB plug to put in my dash to use the Tom Tom GPS circuit on my 08 norge. thing is after I put it back together i have a flashing wrench after i turn on the ignition below the temperature readout.

I also noticed a loose wire under the left hand grip that i'm not sure what orientation it's supposed to go back into that socket i think it came out of.

I also noticed my heated grips won't turn on, and I don't think I have low beams anymore...

can someone point me in the right direction where to correct these items? I've taken the fairing completely off before and managed to get it back together correctly, so I'm quite confused.

Thanks in advance!

Start by downloading the schematic for your bike. Check all connections. What is the odometer reading? The wrench icon signifies it is time for service.

I was hoping that's what the wrench meant. I'm about to do an Oil change, first time I've done it myself since I got a service package from the dealer I bought this one from.

I was much more panicked about the cable I found loose on the left hand grip.

I'll look at the wiring diagram.

Thanks!

I forgot the engine needs to be running for the heated grips to run, and it seems the same for the low beams...

I think only the ignition key has to be switched on for the heated grips to run.
The dash didn't show me their heat setting when I long held the control button for them while the engine wasn't running... So my '08 won't heat them unless the engine is running.
