Just got it firing!
Hi guys, just a quick post, see I developed a leak in the rear diff a few thousand miles ago after I've had the tires changed. The leak was getting bigger so I decided to look into it.
As you know because of the stupid plastic ring the wheel needs to come off, and just for information I have decided not to pit the ring back, so I can monitor the leak and top up until the gasket and o-ring set arrives.
The challenge I faced was how to life the rear wheel off the ground without a lift, so I tried a few different tactics, but the simplest one worked the best, a pair of jack stands under the passenger footpeg bracket.
If ever in need, just prop it under the right one, pull the bike over to the right and prop the other jack under the left one. Perfect balance. I did use a strap to hold the front brake lever pressed to avoid rolling of the front wheel
