So I just had the center stand, plastic / aluminum panniers, engine guard, and fog light installed (waiting on lower seat + foldable mirrors), and here's my 2 cents.

Center stand: VERRRY easy to use. Absolutely no effort whatsoever to place the bike on its center stand. I have a 2012 R1200GS and 2017 KTM Super Adventure S, and the center stand on the Guzzi is MUCH MUCH easier to operate. I sometimes feel like I have to actually lift the GS to place it on its center stand, while the KTM's is easy to use, but the Guzzi's is even easier. Must have in my opinion. The only slight issue I find is that I cannot pivot the bike between the rear and front wheel. It always stays on its front wheel, even if I place some force on the back, it will not rest on the rear tire. On my other 2 ADV bikes I can "choose" which tire that the bike rests on, but that's a very minor annoyance to be honest.

Fog lights: Plug and play install, pretty straight forward. They illuminate the corners more obviously, but not much more infront of the bike. The stock low beam is already good enough, though. I have adjusted them multiple times to see the range of the fog light beams, but its more of a horizontal illumination, which is fine enough.

The only negative is that because they are plug and play, you can only have them on along with the low beam. You cannot have the DRL + fog lights on, it has to be DRL + low beam + fog lights.

Engine Guards: Easy to install. Visually, they seem to do the job well if you were to have an unfortunate tip over. I believe they are produced by Agostini, and if that is the case, then it's high quality build as long as I'm concerned with my experience of their engine guards on my V7ii.

Panniers: Left side pannier has abysmal storage space because of the exhaust cutout. I would have liked if they placed a net pocket on the inside of the lid as to hold your stuff since thr inside is very snug to hold large items due to the weird geometey of the exhaust cut out.

The right side pannier is massive. It will easily fit a helmet. My Scorpion EXO-AT950 (small) fits without any problems with space to spare (sort of).

The locking mechanism is just silly. It's a basic large hook that hooks to the lid obviously, but they didn't integrate it into the pannier with much thought. There is a plastic guard for the hook that sits lower than the top of the inside of the pannier (I'll update this post later with that picture), which you need to care for when you place your helmet, otherwise you'll bang the helmet on the plastic guard.

There are two tabs on the top corners of the panniers that you open to get access to your pannier along with a key. The keys to the panniers are independent and, unfortunately and stupidly, they decided that you must have the key in the lock when you decide you want to put or remove something from the panniers, meaning you MUST have the key with you at all times should you decide that you are going to use your panniers for your commute or trip. Once you unlock the pannier, you CANNOT remove the key unless you lock it again, meaning you cannot have the tabs the only means of securing or locking / unlocking your panniers, you have to use the key as well.

They are easy to remove from their brackets with a turn of the key on the side of the panniers along with a short push and remove motion.

The mirrors are wider than the panniers but I believe the panniers may be slightly wider than the handlebar.

Here is a clip from YouTube of the panniers in action:

That's it for now. Here are some photos with most of the parts installed.

Faisal, thanks for the update.

I've ordered a Guzzi centre stand and this will be fitted at the first service on 13th August. Good to know it's easy to use. I've seen another V85TT with this fitted and it sure looks neat and unobtrusive.

Regarding luggage, I've ordered a set of German-made Hepco & Becker 'Xplorer' 30/40 litre aluminium panniers with inner bags and top rails plus pannier frames. These worked out cheaper than Guzzis very expensive kit plus they're available now. Delivery will be next week. I've also ordered the Hepco & Becker medium tank bag plus their V85TT 'tank ring' mount. I'll post some details/photos when they're fitted. In the meantime, check out their (UK) website: hepco-and-becker-luggage.co.uk/

For the top box I've fitted a Givi SR8203 V85TT adaptor plate plus a M5M Monokey rack. I can now use my existing Givi top boxes across all my bikes. Details: givi.co.uk/my-motorcycle/bike/moto-guzzi/v85-tt-19

I personally cannot do full aluminum panniers but I understand how much more useful they are. But those H&B ones look awesome!

I don't need a top case so I'm just waiting on someone to manufacture a passenger backrest, and if they can integrate it as a top case bracket as well, heck why not?

Todd, I recall Moto Guzzi offering the entire pannier set with the purchase of the ADV V85TT as a kind of promotion and to attract customers.
Did yours come with them or was it all a hoax and you need to pay extra for the set?

Also, I remember seeing a device (can't remember the name at the moment) that allows the fog lights to blink / stutter whenever you use the horn or high beam or something like that.

Does anyone know the name of that device?

I got them. They asked me if I wanted them installed... I said no.

I second the motion to ask Todd to work on the exhaust issues first.
My wish list:
Delete the CAT - replace with a collector which can be hooked up to the Arrow muffler or any muffler.
Stiff throttle fix.
Vibration fixes.
Good luck Todd, glad to have you as a mover & shaker in the Guzzi kingdom.

We are underway on;

1. GTM Exhaust offerings will be:
a. Muffler only
b. Y-pipe/Cat elim, and then...
c. Headers/full system. Our muffler & Y will fit stock or all other aftermarket mufflers.
However, our headers, which will be stepped-type for performance, will only fit our full system. The stock headers (hiding under the head shield) are a tiny 1-5/8" OD - so power can be easily found there.
I'll post pics tomorrow on the muffler. Pretty excited about the design.

2. Stiff throttle? It's ride by wire. I didn't notice that(?).

3. Vibration: Like the other Guzzis, will likely dissolve once the stifled-flow plug of an exhaust is gone, and fueling is fixed (along with cooler running and more power!). Which, the ECU is the same as the 1400, so a PC-V/AutoTune seems like it will be an option! Exciting times.

Todd,

Did you find a fix for the exhaust guard heel contact or is there no way around it?

Guys, also, per the BIG text boxes at the top of the page... this is a private Forum supported by sales of products that I offer to the community here. Thanks for the understanding and not linking people off of this site. It’s not Faceplant or other free social media sites where unfounded and nonfactual opinions run rampant. ;)

This alteration shouldn't have any issues with the Moto Guzzi plastic/ aluminium panniers, would it?
No, as you will see, my design is sleeker and more inward set towards the tire than others... along with a true all-metal handmade Rally look.

For those that might be interested, the Hepco & Becker equipment arrived last week and my V85TT is all set to tour. I'm very pleased with the quality and fit, plus the competitive pricing here in the UK. The tank bag is their smallest 'Tourer M' model and doesn't interfere with the steering on full lock. The magnetic tank ring mounting system is well thought out, secure and easy to use.

Aluminium panniers are from their ‘Xplorer’ range with a 30-litre unit on the left and 40-litre on the right. The pannier frame is easy to fit and matches perfectly with the standard mounting mounts on the motorcycle. Their inner bags are top quality and will make overnight stops a breeze.

Hopefully the pictures do the equipment justice.

I'm so excited for all of this. Reminds me when I first got my v7 and doing my research I plowed through the forum's past posts on all the v7 development you did. Now I get to see it as it goes. What a blast it'll be.

Touring screen now fitted. This unit, made by Isotta in Italy and supplied by Teo Lamers in Nijmegen, comes complete with nifty thumbwheels to adjust the rake. I'm 6ft 3" and the screen is just about perfect for me. Stylish and functional best describe this product.

Now that's a proper screen and the thumb wheel just makes it all that much better. That's a nice touch. I think I'll be purchasing their medium version.

The dimensions of the one I've fitted:

Did you do that drawing yourself?
I ordered the dark medium screen yesterday but could not find any dimensions or drawings on the website, would be nice
to know if that info is available somewhere.

I can post some pics on the bike when mine arrive too.

Greetings!
Daniel

I am also modifying my V85tt here and there. I have been looking for similar thumbwheels for the touring screen. Where can I buy them? I am living in Norway.
