Hi all,

I was just curious to know whether anyone can send me in the direction of a fender eliminator kit that I could get in the UK?

I love the one that you can buy here on the store but didn't want to have to wait or pay for the extra shipping. Mainly because I'm so impatient and trying to save some money! Ha.

Any thoughts on this would be massively appreciated!

Hi,

I bought one from Moto Strada, http://motostradaautomotive.com/product/moto-guzzi-v7-aluminium-tail-tidy-ttv7/
It's a bit basic but does the job. I had to drill a few extra holes in it, as I wanted to use the stock indicators so needed holes for the locating bolts, and also to route the wiring from the indicators .

IMG 0369 Returned mine to Moto Strada as it would touch they tyre.....i think they may have modified the design now. Otherwise it was all OK, except that road dirt went onto the back of the seat. I closed up the gap on either side of the tool tray with rubber strip.
My alternative was to copy what others here have done and raise the number plate holder and lamp by about 60mm as it dangles down below the mudguard. Then remove the spacers in the indicators to shorten the stems .

So one mention that doesn't fit or work properly, and one post even after he said he's trying to save money. So far so good.

Here is another link to check out. This guy does seats and other things.........his work looks quite good. I believe he is in Spain. I am not sure he does a fender eliminator but I know he does plug and play "short" rear fenders. Fun to look at his stuff. He has posted hear before but not sure I have seen him recently.

I have the fender eliminator kit that Todd sells... (https://www.guzzitech.com/store/product/gt-v7-fender-eliminator-kit/), and you're right that it's a great item! The pics on the STORE page don't do it justice in terms of looks.

It's essentially plug-and-play. You do have to decide where to run the wires, but...

I re-used the stock turn signals and the Lucas-style LED taillamp (https://www.guzzitech.com/store/product/lucas-style-led-brake-light/).
I'm quite happy with the results.

That's good to know, but the problem for the original poster or anyone else in the UK is the cost of import and the poor exchange rate.
Add the price of a tail light, $80 shipping, 8% import duty to the overall price, then 20% VAT, and you get to around $400, at today's rates £327.

I would like the headlight lowering bracket for my V7, but unlesss I can find a friend who is travelling to the US who can carry it home for me, it won't be happening.

I like the product offered here as well. I went the different option as I needed to do nothing. I liked the lights BAAK assembled with the unit and it came with the proper light connector. This design with the tool tray is nicer IMO but I will often opt by paying more $$ for something complete due to my time constraints.
