PC V, Autotune re mapping

I am looking at purchasing a 2016 Griso. The current owner had a PC V and Autotune installed and dyno tuned last year. He says that the ECU was not re mapped because the dealer/mechanic said it was not needed. Runs well, pulls hard. Should a re map be done anyway? Would it help?

If you don't do something to the ECU you should not really be able to use the Autotune, as the ECU would have an issue with the O2 sensor not hooked up. And if the O2 sensor was hooked up to the ECU the stock ECU would fight the Autotune module.
So something seems odd to me. At the very least someone should have disabled the O2 sensor in the ECU.
But it is easy enough for Todd to flash the ECU if it really hasn't already been done.

If you want to email me (info at guzzitech.com) the owner's name, I can see if it's a customer. If using full kit with AutoTune enabled, it might just need the occasional touch up... which I can offer for a small donation. Decade plus old process dyno-tuning is a waste of time and money with AutoTune.

As you will read from the many of us here who have this setup from Todd, it is nothing short of miraculous in changing the character of the bike! I have the absolute best running Stelvio NTX on the planet because of it.

All of the development and labor invested to create this for our Moto Guzzi motorcycles was and continues to be a labor of love of the marque by Todd. I for one, am eternally grateful for his wisdom and assistance in helping me make my bike so incredibly enjoyable.

Do as he asks and he will give you the straight story from the mouth of the man that was instrumental in helping develop the setup in the first place. You will not regret it! I promise.

Good luck with the purchase. You will love the Griso!
