hello everyone, I’m seriously considering getting the Eldorado but now I’m in 2 minds if I should get the California Touring or the Eldorado.
What’s the fundamental difference in both machines.

I would definitely want my partner to accompany me and I see the Eldo doesn’t have a back rest. I live in Dubai so I would mostly use my ride over 6 months and mostly during weekends and probably cover around 200kms in a trip on average.

I have ridden the Eldo and it’s amazing. I haven’t had a chance to ride the California Touring.

Will truly appreciate your help in resolving my misery.

The main difference is style and the California Touring comes with luggage whereas the Eldorado does not, but look at posts by Garwood or Meldrew to see what they have done. If you solely want a back rest for the Eldorado I would suggest you contact Todd direct, soonest, as he may just have one left (no one else makes one); https://gtmotocycles.com/products/gtm-california-eldo-1400-backrest

Eldo all the way. Then either Todd's backrest preferably or hepco becker but that means changing the seat. Or fit MG rack and stick a box on it.

If you are on the fence just because of the backrest, get it from Todd. I have it installed on mine and it is a really beautiful piece. Love my Eldo, just wish I could get out more.

I love my Eldo but I say buy the Touring if the price difference isn't too steep. Sounds like the integrated luggage and pax friendly appointments are what you need.

The wires were a big part of why I chose the Eldorado to begin with (I'm a "form over function" guy!)
