Bar end mirror fitment ?

It would be more than a pain ... I think the threaded slugs are welded in.

I fitted a set of CRG bar end mirrors on my V7III Racer that clamp around the bar, rather than mount on an insert. I had the mirrors already, so I just needed the bar-end weight/mount with a channel cut for them: https://gtmotocycles.com/products/gt-cnc-bar-end-mirror-sliders/

My mirrors are similar or the same as this pair on the Store: https://gtmotocycles.com/products/crg-3-2-bar-end-mirror/

They work very well and look great:

Sorry for the somewhat cheesy photographs.

So I just purchased the Bar End adapters from Todd along with the Lane Splitter mirrors. Both products look and fit great, except on the throttle it now gets stuck? Anyone have the same issue? I have a V7II Stone and the original bar end has a slight gap between grip and weight, where the new bar ends press right against the rubber, do I trim the grip? Or am I missing something?

Thanks

I had a similar problem. I believe I added a thin shim to space the bar end out a mm or so to prevent contact with the throttle grip rubber. Simple fix, did it 4000+ miles ago and it hasn't changed since.

I’ll pass along the info to RM. per Godfrey’s comment above, a small washer will do it.

Thanks for the response, I'm purchasing a few washers this evening to see which ones work best. Thanks for the Help!

So I did some more experimenting, and I think I know what the problem was. Could I have possibly inserted bar ends backwards? I'll submit both photos, in the photo with the mirror down, the thicker metal side from the bar end is towards handle (throttle stuck).

The other photo (with mirror up) the thinner metal side is closest to the grip, appearing to give throttle room to play around with. I haven't taken her out for a ride, but it appears to solve the sticking throttle problem.

Could that be correct Todd?
